Lara Landsberg is a Cape Town jewellery artist who merges heritage with contemporary creativity through her brand, VON ARA. Trained in Creative Jewellery Design at Stellenbosch University, she makes work that reads like a visual diary — each piece unfolding a story, an emotion, a moment worth holding onto.

Our Story
The name behind the work
VON, a name that preceded Landsberg in Lara's family lineage, was a legacy she felt compelled to reignite. In founding VON ARA, she brought that history into her own life — fused with "ARA," both a shortening of her name and the name of one of her beloved kittens.
VON ARA is where rich heritage meets contemporary creativity. Our slogan, "An Embodied Masterpiece," is an invitation to explore exactly that: the magnificence, mystery and magic in every person, made wearable.
Meet the Founder
Lara Landsberg
Lara completed her bachelor's and master's at Stellenbosch University, specialising in Creative Jewellery Design and Manufacture. Through her studies she explored research themes — memory, identity, emotion — and brought them to life as thought-provoking, deeply personal pieces.
That's where her style and her purpose took shape: to create with meaning, so each piece becomes a work of art that resonates beyond its beauty. She leaves her work open-ended on purpose, so you can form your own connection to it.
